Having Trouble Logging In and Changing your password

If you are here, it might be because you Googled, Bing-ed, Alta Vista-ed, or Asked Jeeves "Access Capture by Lightyear Login", and they've served you a link to our Knowledgebase Sign-In Page. You might have found your normal log in credentials don't work on that page. Don't worry though, this article is going to point you to the right link.

The Login Page

First things first, head to app.lightyear.cloud. You'll be presented with a page that has the below. Enter your email address and password, and click "Log in". If you are a member of multiple Access Capture by Lightyear accounts, you'll be presented with a list to choose from.

Bookmark/Star/Favourite app.lightyear.cloud so that you aren't betrayed by your favourite search engine next time!

What if I've forgotten my password?

Resetting your password

Hit the "Forgot Your Password?" button and enter your email in the box provided and submit.

After a few moments, you will receive a One-Time-Password (OTP) in your email inbox

Input the OTP, and enter your new password in the fields provided. Your password must include

  1. 6 or more characters

  2. Upper and lower case letters

  3. At least 1 number

  4. At least 1 special character (e.g. !#@$)

Once your new password has been set, you'll be taken back to the login page and are now ready to access your account again.


I'm not receiving the password reset email

There could be a couple of reasons for this. Double check the following

  1. Search your emails thoroughly as it may be in your Junk/Spam inboxes or in 'Clutter'. The best way is to do a search of all the folders. The subject of the email is 'Reset your password' and will be sent from [email protected]

  2. Try send a blank email to the above email address so your email client recognises the email address as a contact in your inbox and then retrigger the password reset process

  3. You may also need to check with your IT Team to see if the emails are being picked up by internal email quarantine/spam filters/firewalls

You will need to ensure that the email address you entered is correct and is definitely the one you use for Access Capture by Lightyear. Due to security reasons we will not tell you if the email address is incorrect, you will simply not receive the email from us
